Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, Inc. has evolved from its roots as a cotton spinning mill in Aurora, Illinois, to a textile processing operation with a breadth of manufacturing and technical capabilities as wide as any found in the textile industry today. Fabric bleaching and preparation provided the building blocks from which Aurora has grown. This foundation has given Aurora the solid base it needed to expand over the years into fabric coating, technical finishing and dyeing. This extensive range of core capabilities enables Aurora to be truly a “one-stop” shop for our customers.

In 2014, an expansion and growth plan was put into motion for our company. Recognizing the limitations our 130 year old facility placed on us as we sought to grow for the future, we purchased a new facility in Yorkville, Illinois, only about 20 minutes from our Aurora plant. This new plant, sitting on 15 acres, offers us the space to grow as well as the operational improvement opportunities a more modern facility allows. In addition, we purchased a new, state-of-the-art, wide finishing and coating line due to be operational in May 2015. Over the course of calendar 2015 and slightly beyond, Aurora will be relocating its entire operation under the roof of this new facility. The implementation of this move has been planned in great detail and is being executed with the greatest of care to make it totally “seamless” to our customers with no disruptions.
