David Hastings became President
of Mauldin, South Carolina based
Mount Vernon Mills, Inc. in January 2008 and
assumed the duties of CEO in January 2009.He grew up and still resides in Greenwood, South
Carolina.He has a Masters of Business Administration
from the University of South Carolina.He has been with
Mount Vernon
for 23 years and has served in various capacities
during that time.Prior to joining Mount Vernon Mills, he was
a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co.He is a Certified Public Accountant and has
served as the Treasurer and on the Board of
Directors of the South Carolina Manufacturers
Alliance.
He has been very active over
the years in coaching youth sports.He and his wife Kelly have three children,
Lacy, Hunter and Nicholas ranging in age from 21
to 10.
